Quick update

Just to let you know that all is now safe and calm, though the street looks unnaturally clean and tidy after a totally clubber-free night. The defence of our neighbourhood by the local Turkish shopkeepers made it to the Wall Street Journal (see http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111904480904576498260255176244.html?mod=wsj_share_tweet). Someone should tell them the difference between a pound shop and a pawn shop. A pound shop is a store where everything costs a pound. However our local Poundland has stiff competition from others that undercut them. Even ‘Everything for 98p’ now has a rival offering ‘Everything for 97p’.
